About

Hopesong

Our purpose is to share the message of hope in the New Covenant. We began singing in a small, country church in central Pa. In the fall of 2012 we felt God leading us to move to Ohio. We are a part of a small non-denominational church close to Sugarcreek, Ohio. Most of our ministry is in prisons and small churches
There are three of us that sing together. Dale Schmucker, his wife Karyn and our daughter Jacki. Dale has been singing and writing songs for 26 years. God has put a burden on his heart to spread the gospel both in word and song, and to help struggling Christians. He sings and plays acoustic guitar. Karyn and Jacki are also writing songs and Jacki plays the keyboard and ukulele on our recordings.

Our name is a derivative of what we feel God has called us to do. Give hope and encouragement to those who struggle inside, and outside, of church.
Krista Troyer was with us for about 10 years. We greatly appreciate her creativity on the piano, the songs she’s written, and her spirit of sacrifice.

Several other friends have helped with music, both in recording our albums and when going into prisons, churches, and conferences. For the inspiration, creativity, and talent they have shared with Hopesong, our thanks go to Micah Detweiler, Phil Shirk, Nathan Detweiler, Susan Krombholz, Matt Weaver, Rosetta Weaver and Monica Weaver.
